I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season.
I know many people have to start making their vacation plans very early in the year and am pleased to announce the official dates for this year's Supras Invade Las Vegas event. Oct 12 - 15, 2005 The schedule has not been locked down yet but it is looking like we will be returning to the newly expanded Road Course in Pahrump on the 13th and sharing the drags with the Grand National's "West Coast Nationals" event on the 15th. That means the Show-and-Shine will be on the 14th and the dyno will be the morning of the 15th. For those that want more time in Las Vegas we will be having another Scenic Drive on the 12th and we are looking to add a Poker Tournament the evening of the 13th. Information will be posted as soon as it becomes available at http://Vegas.Supras.Org so be sure to bookmark that site and check back often to keep up to date with the latest developments. I look forward to another spectacular event this fall in the "Entertainment Capital of the World!" Keith Hart Supras Invade Las Vegas |

Will it be like SILV04 where you hardly get in any runs because we have to wait for a bunch of rednecks to run? We need to get more test and tune in even if it costs more.

The actual number of runs will depend on quite a few variables. I cannot say that you will get "X" number of runs. It all depends on when you get there and how many issues close the track over the course of the evening.
I do believe that the staff at LVMS have been working to figure out each of these events and they have made several changes over the past couple years since starting this "Super Car Spectacular" In 2004 we shared the track with an "All Motor" points class. There are a LOT of those all motor cars in that class apparently. As the evening ran long, due to several reasons, we were joined by the Motorcycle Mania class. For 2005 LVMS have combined our group (approximately 50 Supras) with the Buick Grand National group (something just under 50 cars). I have not yet heard of any other groups or classes that will be joining us. At this time we do still need a coordinator for the Drag Showdown. This coordinator will be responsible for working with the LVMS staff and management as well as the SILV coordinators to help ensure a successful drag activity. If we do not have a coordinator for the drags we will have to set up the activity as "Grudge" race only. Keith Hart Supras Invade Las Vegas http://Vegas.Supras.Org |
