First of all i would like to tell you what wheels i'm geting. better yet I'll give you the link.
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?targ...Brand=All&sort=Brand My problem is that i'm ordering 18X7.5 for the front and 18X9 for the rear. I called tierrack and they said that if i put 2 different sets in then the handling of my car will drop, something about physics. What i'm trying to find out is...Will there be a big differece? IS there anyone outthere that are using the same size rims and did you have any problem or feel anything different while driving your car? My next problem is that I'm not sure what size tiers to get for my car. I'm new at this and i have no idea what to get for the car. I'm not sure that the numbers ( offsets ) mean when they put 225/40/18. So any help is greatly appreciated |

i'm running 17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear. yes the handling changed, but did so for the better.
you'll just have to learn the difference. with wider tires, the car will hold the road better. you just need to understand and respect the limits. (and they'll be further limits than the stock tires/rims) 225/40/18 means that the tire is 225mm wide, 40mm from rim to ground (the sidewall) and the 18 is the rim size. (18" rim). i'm running 275/40/17's in the rear, and 255/40's in the front. the car handles pretty well with stock swaybars. (which will make the most difference) -shaeff |
