im am needing to replace my springs and struts on my 88 7mgte. My car has the tems option but i just want to get rid of that and go with a new set of struts and springs. i was thinking about going in the dirrection of koni yellows struts. i have three questions.
1. i was wondering if becasue the car has tems if i can only instal certain struts( keep in mind i really just want to scrap the tems, i dont know if its just a thing of disconecting it and taking it out)
2. what springs would go good with koni yellows. i want to have a linear spring and a major drop is not that important to me. maybe like 1". i was looking at the tanabe springs from hpf. but i dont know how these would do.

3. is the amount that the car is lowered depend on the strut or the spring, or both?

1) no, you can install any struts you want, assuming they were made for the ma70. (i went from tems to koni's. koni's are great! )

2) that's entirely up to you. when i did my setup, i didn't do enough research and made the mistake of buying eibachs. (progressively wound) - needless to say, i hate them!

3) spring. the strut dampens the bound/rebound of the spring.
