Is there a reason to pay more money for a name brand like Wilwood or Brembo for braided steel brake lines?

What would be the best set of lines to get or are they all pretty much the same?

keep an eye on those stainless braided lines. dirt can get between the braids and slowly chafe the inner rubber hose. then you start getting leaks, and eventually the line can fail.

this doesn't always happen, but keep an eye on them. Wink

the really nice ones have a clear rubber coating over the SS braid to prevent dust/dirt from working it's way in.

I had that problem on my camaro's stainless lines after I replaced them I cut a piece of rubber hose down the middle and zip tied it around the stainless line....problem solved havent had an issue. I do swap the hose out every year to keep it looking good though. Only problem is it looks tacked on and no one knows you have stainless lines lol but ill be safe over pretty anyday.

If its not fast, loud, or fun then who the hell cares?
