I want to buy a Supra, but my friend told me that they have a lot of problems. Particuarly the later models. My brother also said that they have problems with the head gasket. Is this true?

7M's had headgasket problems. It's not due to poor design, but to improperly torqued headbolts from the factory.

If you buy one, do the headgasket, and torque it to 72ft lbs. Or if you'r e building a performance machine, do the appropriate work and install a MHG.

Problem solved, permanently.
