I recently purchased Stillen side skirts for my mkIV and they don't fit. Stillen claims that they are made to oem specs. But when I recieved them, I noticed that when I pre fit them to car there was a 1/4 inch gap between the side skirt and the quarter panel, the bottom of the doors rub on the lip of the side skirt and you must remove the factory trim piece on the fender for them to fit. Which leaves a "knotch" in the fender from where the trim piece used to be. Also, both side skirts are scracthed and need extensive body work done to them in order to make the scracthes unnoticeable after you paint them.
I called Stillen only to get no where. The salesman that sold them to me stated that these side skirts were a "plug and play" deal. I asked him if I would have to make any modifications to my car or the side skirts to make them fit, and he said no. So I feel as though I was lied to and I'm now dealing with a company that doesn't want to work with one of it's customers. So if you want shit products and be lied to about them then, buy stuff from Stillen. |
