I saw alot of bodykits for the supra on ebay for really affordable prices, just wanted to know if anyone has ever purchased bodykits from ebay and how was the product, was it well worth the money.

They say they are durable hand laid fiberglass (7 layers) is that a good thing or is it crap.

What types of bodykits do you guys have, meaning what are they made out of.

Thanks

i dont have any personal experience with them but usually cheap body parts dont fit quite right and take some extra work (bondo) to fit and even then it isnt quite right. just my .02

If you are lucky,i wouldnt buy any bodykit on ebay. Most of them are sh##ty. Well you get what you pay. Do you like bomex kit at all? im doing TRD widebody so if you interesting let me know they bolt right on,you would save some money on paint and body work if you have a red supra. i bought a replica veilside kit on ebay and the fitment was horrible, the bumber was too wide, the side skirts were not even. in the end i just bought a used authentic veilside front bumper and bought the rest of the kit new.

I wouldnt go with fiberglass, it is very hard to fit and isnt as good as a urithane. I purchased a Full Do Luck 2 Kit for my car cost me around $2,500 and fits flawlessly. there are some fiberglass look a likes that are $400-$500 that im almost sure dont fit as good. you can buy a cheaper kit, but really you get what you pay for

I paint cars for a living and have installed more body kits than i care to mention. if you have a good body shop they can make just about anything fit (from $1400 top secret bumpers to a $150 top speed(top secret look alike found on ebay) the difference will be what they charge you to do the work(if its rough, doesnt bolt right up has cracks and such itll cost more)and the amount of physical time you will be without your car.ive seen high dollar stuff fit awful and knockoffs fit perfectly, also ebay sellers often use the word handlaid fiberglass but in reallity its choppgunned into a mold then sold to you with little or no gel coat.true hand laid fiberglass is expencive to make a mold for and to make the parts, the parts are typically lighter, thinner and stronger than those done with a chopgun. ask for other closer photos, beware of photos off of other web sites and not of their actual product. ask for referances if the stuffs crap they wont bother with you.you can learn alot from a google search
if you have any other questions i am here to help lol good luck
