So I just bought a parts-car (87 turbo) from a 50 year old guy I met through craigs list, turns out his son (6 months ago) did a 360 and flipped it twice... HARD. Then happens to somehow land on all 4's and the kid drives it like 300 feet back to his house. He then admits to his father that he's "Shitfaced". His son actually broke 3 ribs and both bones in his left forearm. If there had been a passenger they would be dead. I Bought the car for $1,000 for it's perfectly running motor with 35,000 miles on it but it also has slotted rotors and some pretty nice calipers. Suspension is fine also and the transmision should be as well. All this is going into my silver 88T as we speek. Should be done in the next three or for days.

Here are some pics of the wreck...he did 80mph around an S shaped turn and flipped it.

Drunk driving kills...Supras.

I guess a certified Mercedes Bens mechanic Rebuilt the top end of the motor above. Everything seems to be running well except there was a substancial whistle comming from the turbo when we revved it in Park. As far as i know the turbo doesn't even spool in Park, so we took the accordian hose off and noticed that this so called Mercedes mechanic coupled it to the turbo with a piece of dryer ventalation tube that was baked to pieces. Turbo seems to be undamaged, thank god!

More pics to come... wait till you see the rear-end assembly goin in it Cool

Very cool. As for the rear end assy, is it anything like mine?

1/8" plate steel welded in for reinforcement, as well as roll cage tubing welded in over the differential. Poly subframe bushings, and I also have a 4:10 T2 helical LSD sitting at home for it, along with brand new upper A-arms/ball joints, and all brand new nylon bushings everywhere. Smile

I got her running and on the road with only a few problems. I have an intake line that dumps back into the accordian tube that is missing and was sealed off by the last owner. I probably wouldn't have seen it if it didn't start melting the red plug that sealed it. My question is why was this done like that?

I am looking for a couple of parts if they are in good shape and you are interested. The rear spoiler (can't really see it) and the parking brake and shift boots ( if 5spd). Mine is the same color in and out.

The car is the size of a 3ft by 3ft cube now. It was an auto and the spoiler was cracked up, sry.

Try posting in the wanted to buy section.

Too late but thanks anyway. I allready found out from the kind people at supramania. It was my PCV line. It caused oil to spew out of my cam cover gaskets and maybe my oil cooler lines as well. Take a look in the 7mgte technical section. It's call "question about a pugged line", you wont believe what someone did to my accordian tube.
