So I just bought my turbo 86.5 mk3. it came with the hks bov but it wasn't installed and came with the bov only with out the flages or anything. I want to get it installed but im not sure where i should place it because its so big. anyone have any ideas? is there an adapter kit i have to buy to get it on? i dont want to bring it to a shop cause the bov bottom is alluminum so itll cost more to make the flanges and what not. any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

also im thinking about buying a manual boost controller from twosrus[dot]com. would it be safe to be pushing somewhere around 8-9 psi on the completely stock motor?

**im a newb to turbos/ the mk3. =)

There are lots of companies that offer an adapter pipe for the SSQV. Suprasport.com, suprastore.com, horsepowerfreaks.com, driftmotion.com, etc...

Most people put it in the pipe to the left of the 3000 pipe. Ideally, you want it as close to the throttlebody as possible.

I'd get a MBC from drjonez on supramania.com. Cheap, reliable, doesn't EVER spike.

I'd get an intake and exhaust on there before you really start raising the boost, as they're both very restrictive in stock form. Especially the stock turbo elbow, and downpipe.

Hey Digity, Shaeff told me to not boost high with a stock CT26, he just said that most people can boost up to 14 PSI before fuel upgrades. Maybe anything above 15 may bust the damn old thing you know..lol.

On a stock CT-26, you'll hit fuel cut around 12-13psi if you're still using the stock AFM.

I don't recommend boosting it past 14psi, given you have the proper supporting modifications.

I would show you mine, but it's so far from stock that it wouldn't make any difference. My engine bay and yours look WAY different, trust me. Wink

And, I don't even have any of the IC piping on right now.
