so i finally got her started and im fricken excited! it wasnt the starter, so ive got one if anyone needs one...lol i bought it and didnt realize.

so i desulfated the battery that i had and recharged it. put it in the car and tryed to start it. when it started my heart dropped but in a good way! i did the diagnosis and its throwing the 25 code at me. air fuel ratio thing.

that and she doesnt go over 25-30.

so what does anyone thing that could be. i do have another ecu on the way also and might try that to see if the ecu is bad.

did you check your codes yet? Does it have to do with your AFM?

yes i said it was showing the code 25. which has something to do with air fuel ratio. sat. we are gonna be checking the tranny sensors, wires, spark plugs, and all other sensors too. ive also got the ecu on the way so we can try that out too and see if its a prob with the computer.

Stop throwing parts at the car...

Try to bench test the AFM:

Yeah I agree, I dont know why you think you need a new ECU. I had to replace my AFM on my last Supra, It took me some time to research the problem but the TSRM helped me find the problem. My AFM went bad so I just got another one. So Shaeff is right, I would go with the bench test as well. Get a voltmeter cause thats whats going to help you the most. I went by the book and did exactly what it told me to do and I diagnosed that the AFM had poor resistance so the sensor wasnt getting a reading, or at least a good one.

well i had some money and im able to resell anything i dont use on ebay, so its not really a waste. i was just frustrated with it not starting and didnt really think, and bought the starter, then saw the ecu area and looked like there was water damage to the ecu but that wasnt the case. but i like to be over prepared rather than underprepared.

but i will def try that test this sat with my mechanic friends! Smile im happy they are comin cuz im in need and theyve work on supras b4. ya its my friends that are married and they work on VW's and Supra's and Mr2's, etc...im in luck! *knocks on wood*
