In a past 4x4 project i was putting a 7mge in my 4runner and in the process i decided to have the head port and polished since then i have aquired an 89 turbo targa that i have always wanted and was trying to find out what the differences was in the head other than the cams so i didnt have to pay for another p&p head job and on the same note was thinking of building a motor later on are the blocks the same any help would be appreciated thanks

Punctuation would certainly help. Sentences, commas, periods, and maybe even an exclamation point or two.

That being said, the heads are pretty much identical except for different castings. There are no huge advantages to one or the other, and you can use a GE head on a GTE motor with no ill-effects (until you crest the 400hp mark, then the GE INTAKE cam stifles the motor).

Short answer, only the intake cams are different. The blocks are all internally identical, save for the higher CR pistons in the GE block, and some GTE blocks had oil squirters.
