If i fill up the coolant it leaks straight back out of the turbo. I think that the turbo is broken. It does not leak out, where the coolant goes into the turbo but a little more to the left where it has some metal piece connecting the turbo. i dont really know what its called but trying to give the best desciption i can. The leak comes out of turbo near the dip stick.

Ok.. metal piece.. is it a hose line connection? I'm really curious about this one. As I had no idea that coolant went into the turbo, I just knew that oil did to help lub it and keep it cool. Try to get a really good look at at it, this has never happened to me, but possibly a couple of other people have seen this. My turbo leaks oil lightly on the inside, but thats it. I'm getting ready to replace mine because its so old, but I'm not saying in any way you should do the same. I'm thinking its a bad hose, bad connection. Could be more than that, hopefully it can be solved soon and easily. Really get a good look at it, all I know is coming from around the area of the dip stick. Can you see a leak from the top, or do you think its from the bottom of it?

The coolant leaks out on the bottom end of the hub. It only leak out coolant at the bottom end of the turbo. The turbo spins freely it just leaks coolant out of it. Could it be a seal or some thing that is making it leak out of the turbo?? Oh yeah also it is located to the left of the oil inlet. You know on the ct26 turbo, there is two bolts that holds the turbo together. That is where it is leaking coolant. Maybe i need to tighten up the bolts?? Turbo going bad?? Never seen this ever in my life, this is weird.

ok there are several things you could do here. After examining the picture, and unfortunetly I only have one view as seeing that its not three dimensional and I cant get all the views of it. I have to give you this advise alone. 1. Yes you should trying tightening the bolts that hold the turbo together first (although I cant say that will truly solve the problem.). Second if that doesnt work then you probably have to go about this the long way, but it will save you some money and its not that hard of job, just might take a bit. You can remove the turbo competely and inspect it all the way around and look for cracks in it. Oh yeah, if you do decided to remove the turbo you might one to get a gasket kit for it to replace all the bad ones. There appears to be four gaskets you need to put it back on. If you do discover its a bad turbo, well thats the best excuse to upgrade! Wink

The coolant is probably leaking from the gasket for the water jacket in the turbo. Check the plate that the steel lines are attached to, it has the tendency to corrode, thus making the gasket not seal properly. Wink

(By the way, that happens when people don't change their coolant enough. It becomes acidic and starts eating away at the inside of your motorWink)
