I own a 1989 MK3 I bought it with a spun bairing, but the guy I bought it from didnt tell me he also cracked the head. He had startd to take the motor apart but got in over his head he didnt even take out the bolt on the underbelly of the engine to disconnect the motor from the tranny so he bent the hell out of the spacer plate trying to get the motor out. I went to pick it up and he had boxes filled with parts. But i didnt realize that it was missing the injectors, the exhauwt manifold, coil pack and some other things.So I went out and brought a 7mge motor from my friend who converted his to a 1jz. So know I have to drill and tap the new fuel lines for the turbo. I want and got the exhaust manifold, and found a coil pack but still need injectors if you have some I'm willing to buy them. But what happens with the distubutor that's on the motor? Does anyone have any tips for this little project that I have going or any advice. Anything is well come I just started working I. These motors there still new to me

I would seriously consider switching to GTE electronics if I were you. Use all turbo electronics. (ecu, engine wiring harness, ignitor, CPS, AFM, etc...)
MDCmotorsports.com makes an adapter to use the oil pressure sending unit port for the oil feed for the turbo (NOT fuel feed!!!), and sells a flange for the drain as well, all using -AN lines and fittings. It's a nice kit. Oh, you need to remove the distributor, and replace it with a CPS (cam position sensor) from a 7MGTE. |

thank you for the info. That really helps. I have all the wireing from the other engine, the kid started taking the engine apart he cracked the head then through it away, then for some odd reason he though away exhaust manifold, and the fuel injectors. This is the best part he left the head off and there is rust in the clynider wall I'm not sure how deep the rust goes, but over the winter I'm going to send the block out and have it bored.
