Post your sightings and cars you've seen on the road.

Today I got back from Atlantic City and seen 1 Viper GTS, 3 300zxs, 2 350Zs, 1 Acura NSX, and 4 or 5 Hayabusas.

It's kind of nice that I've only seen one rustang in the last year or so. I do get to see all versions of the skyline on a daily basis plus at least one GT-R a day. RX-7's, Supra's, GTO's(300GT's), Fairlady Z's(300ZX's), Silvia's. I'm pretty much spoiled around here but I am in Japan so you wouldn't expect to really see much else. It's amazing how clean all the cars are. Here there is a very high turnover of cars because the Japanese people always seem to have to have the newest model cars. I have a 94 with only 34,443km(20,665miles) on the body and about 21,000km(13000miles) on my 2JZ-GTE. Once you customize a car here it is considered to actually decrease the value somewhat because people prefer everything stock which seems crazy to me, but I'm not going to complain. All the guys I run with have 400+hp in their cars and are always adding a little more where they can. Unfortunately parts prices are expensive but what can you do. I wish I would see some mustangs around here though, it would be fun to run them into the ground. Big Grin

I was on my way to the office yesterday at not quite 9 a.m., coming up a divided 6 lane artery that I use every day. As I approached a stoplight at the intersection with the freeway, I spied a pair of silver fenders with integrated headlights not unlike my Supra's, but thinner and longer, flanking a grill composed of chrome strips that divided its dark, whale-like maw into thin, horizontal rectangles. Behind the subtle, angled bulge on the hood was a steeply raked windshield that trailed off into a sloping roofline that lay casually atop muscular rear fenders. All this rode atop massive 19" wheels that closely hugged the shape of the wells. The only apparent ornament on the exterior was a tilted oval carved into the fender, just aft of the top edge of the front wheel, and punctuated horizontally by a thin chrome accent.

As it approached me going in the opposite direction, it's driver had clear road in front of him and decided to pull away from the Mercedes and Lexus sedans in the two lanes to his right. With my windows down, I heard the distinctive zreeeeummmmmm! of a 12 cylinder symphony spiraling up in pitch as the car gracefully transitioned from cantor to a light gallop, first coming at me, then disappearing in my rear view mirror.

Surely the owner enjoys his daily fantasy of being James Bond, but I'll keep my Supra any day... since I can have four or five of them for what he paid for his Aston Martin Vanquish.

I see mustangs EVERY SINGLE DAY and there the V6 ones too. I would see a GT(V8) once in a while. But I seen 2 Supras everyday well almost everyday cause they both live in my neiboorhood. I see a Lamborghini Countach cause there is a Foreign car dealership right down the street but that lamborghini has been sitting there for a while though. I see 1 or 2 corvettes they live in my nieboorhood.

I notice more Celicas than Civics, Celicas are faster but it seems Celicas are gonna be the next gen ricers. (like riced out civics all the time it'll be riced out Celicas.) I haven't really seen that many Camaros.

Living in WV, I see american muscle ALL THE TIME. It's cool every now and then though, when I get to see the old-school muscle cars. But I'm sick of seeing GT and Cobra stangs and Camaro Z's and SS's. I know of 1 MKIV in my area and there are a couple of 350Z's. There's 1 guy who has a really nice RX-7. Also, 3000GT's aren't uncommon. I've seen 3 different vipers here too, and vettes galore.

Two mornings ago I was again on my way to work on the same patch of road where I have recently spied an Aston Martin Vanquish. In the opposite lane of travel to mine there was a cluster of miscellaneous econoboxes and pickups, but amongst them - like a gazelle mixed in with a herd of deer - I caught the glint of a trident-shaped grill ornament from the corner of my eye. It was tucked under a smoothly rounded, deep-ocean blue hood. Only subtle creases ran from its nose to its windshield, and a casual observer could have mistaken its taillights for a Honda - except for the four chromed-oval exhaust tips peeking out from the splitter area of the rear fascia. Unfortunately, other than it's brilliant color, the car seemed almost unremarkable; it was rolling sedately along with the pack, almost as if trying to hide behind the other cars, even while a 1/2 mile stretch of unused pavement invited it to run in its own space. If I hadn't recognized it's marque I would not have realized it was a new Maserati Coupe.
