Hey guys, I bought a 1986 MR2 a couple days ago and man does it fly... that thing is alot of fun and cheap on gas.
One issue im having is when I am driving on the highway-- ONLY on the highway does the check engine light come on. It comes on for like 20secs and then goes off for about 5min, then comes on again... This does not happen in the city or when I speed up and slow down, just constant highway speeds. My neighbor thinks it may be an O2 sensor, what do u guys think? Also, I gotta pay off some money I borrowed for the car... how critical is it that I get this problem fixed quickly? thx |

my supra does that as well. the only way to actually pin point the problem is to scan it. does the car act any differently when you are on the freeway or when the light comes on?

Nah, it doesnt act any different. Im just leaving it for now haha.
Quick question... 112hp 1.6L engine... stock compression 160, my compression: 140, 120, 125, 145. How much power am I possibly at right now and how much could I get back up to by fixing any compression problems (ie. valve seals)? |
