The FAQ is great, but could do with some more info on the MkIII. There is the FAQ at suprastore with 15 stats, and it is the most comprehensive list one the net I've seen. Also, I could get you a ton of tech info on the MkII and MkIII, I have the Haynes auto manual. They tell you the thickness of the vavle seal, but not the HP .

For those of you who are reading this going "Damn the turbo only added 30 horsepower???" Look @ the RPM's where the horsepower is being made...its 230@5600RPMs on the turbo model while it takes the NA all the way up to 6200RPM's to produce 200..... Just a little fact.

this may be a dumb question, and i may have looked over the answer somewhere, but are the 86-92 turbo supras twin turbo or single turbo?

Single turbo in the U.S. In Japan they also had a twin turbo version (the 1JZ-GTE engine) for a few years.

In North America, the MKIII (86.5-92) only came as a single turbo. In Japan they got the 1JZ and 1GG, which are both twin turbo engines.

which auto tranny would an 89' turbo come with? is it an AE130?
