After careful thought on how to further proceed w/ my NA-T project, I've come to the conclusion that it's best to forget about lowering the compression by messing w/ the head gasket, but instead swap out better, stronger and lower compression pistons and rods while keeping the stock block, which is extremely well built to begin with. So my question to anyone that knows is, what 8.0/1 to 8.5/1 compression pistons does anybody suggest? Also, I'm only looking for 450 to 500 rwhp and my current LSD, according to production info., has the top-end gear ratio of 427, which is great for qet up and go off the line, but poor for top-end speed. What clutch, keeping w/ the 5-speed W-58, would anybody suggest to hold the torque and rwhp I'm looking for (keep in mind that I'm planning a stand-alone EMS w/ 440 cc injectors)?
I appreciate the input. |
