so i have had my 1995 white hardtop supra for about 2 weeks now, and i finally took it out one night. i caught up with some of my buddys, and one of them has a 2004 pontiac grand am GT and he wanted to race. i really didnt want to becuase i didnt think i was ready, but i went through with it. we started out at about 10 mph and i honked 3 times it was on. i jumped ahead about half a car lenght then he started to pull ahead, i sifted into second and again was about half of a car ahead. then he came about 3 foot ahead of me, and i sifted into 3rd, and from there i was all over. by the time i hit the redline needing to shift into 4th i was about 1 car lenght ahead of him, and we were going about 90 mhp, and i let off and won. if was my first race and it was a win. i couldent belive how well he keeped up woth me thought, i mean he had been beating gst and little turbod talons and stuff like that but i didnt expect him to keep up so well, his dad has a dyno and he said he is pushing about 230hp, which i think im about at 245, but i am also like 300 pounds heavier.

Hmm an interesting race indeed! Good job too, I take it you have a twin turbo, 6 speed. The grand am I think lacks a 6th gear, because of that fact the gear ratio is really different. The supra will accelerate better after the second turbo spools up. The 300lbs difference does cause the car to be a tad slower. No worries though, a couple of BPU upgrades and you will be smoking more than Grand ams buddy!
