I just installed a 1986 7mgte engine on a 1989 supra body. I made all the electrical connections required, but for some reason there is no fuel pressure and electrical current flowing to the dristributor when attempting to start the car. Could it be that the elctrical wiring in the 1989 supra is different from the one in the engine. Also could it be that im still using the 1986 ECU instead of the 1989 that had to come with the car?

There's your problem. You need to get an engine harness that matches the year of the chassis of the car.

Whoa, distributor??? Was the car a GE to begin with and you're using the GE's harness?

sprmcy- did you get my PM?

Check ebay, and supramania.com's forsale section for a harness. If the plugs on the chassis are gray, you'll need an ECU, AND wiring harness with gray plugs.

Check your PM...
