Currently my 87' Turbo is having some really bad problems. I just brought it back out from the winter and it will start, level out , then stall out. It will do this several times until I bang on the MAF just behind the air filter. When it does start and stay running the rpm's range from about 350 to 1100, constantly up and down. And when I do give it some throttle, first it studders then slowly climbs until about 2800 RPM, then it will start going up and down from about 2500RPM to 2800RPM, and will not go any higher, also when I do this, the exhaust smells horrible, my boost gauge reads about half way, the car backfires, and the engine trembles. Please help! :-(

DO NOT abuse the AFM. That's how they get broken.
