will driving it just stopped pulling, it made no sounds.the drive shaft and rear cv joints are ok but if the key is switched on the rpm gauge goes up to 200 rpm with the engine off. could a electric problem cause the tranny to stop?? the fluid level was fine?? email me at panamacitycwboy@yahoo.com with any suggestions

this is definatly an electronic 'brain fart' within the ecu and is something that should be checked out by a toyota dealership because unless you have a very high end scanner you wont be able to diagnose the problem.

Of late, I have gotten really good at troubleshooting ECU and wiring issues because I did my own 1JZ swap.
Only way you will know if it IS your ECU that has fried, is to take out your ECU, and put it in another Supra and see if the problems follow the ECU... You don't want to just go and get another ECU and throw it in your car, because if it is the wiring in your car, you could easily fry another ECU. But I'd love to know, if you Short out pins E1 and TE1 on the diag connector, what codes if any come back? ========================= 92 Cressida TT (1JZ-GTE) 93 Camry V6 94 Supra TT |
