im looking at buying a 94 shell with no engine, trans, drive shaft, rear end. the vin says its a n/a to start with but i know a turbo was put on it. is there some way for me to tell if they did a 2jzgte swap or just built up another motor and added a turbo? like pin diagrams or a different ecu? can i tell my just looking in the empty engine bay

If it still has the ecu in it, it will say 2jz gt on the ecu. Other than that, i really do not think that you can tell. Different wiring harness. Why does it really matter if they did?
