I am going to purchase a front strut tower bar pretty soon and was wondering about the install. Is it just : lay it down on the brackets and tighten up some bolts by hand? or do they need to be torqued to a certain pressure?
Also, which one would you recomment, price isnt really an issue since they are all so inexpensive. The car has been dropped just a little bit, and the suspension is firmed up quite a bit. Those are only suspension mods. |

i would go with the TRD unit because it is a toyota part, looks good, is the only 1 piece brace on the market. the only issue with the TRD is that big aftermarket singles wont fit under the brace. |

Thanks for the link. Good to know all i need is a torque wrench. And, that link also answered the question in one of my other posts today. Apparently that black box on my drivers side mount is an igniter module. I dont have a dam clue what that is, any idea?

You dont really need a torque wrench just use German torque. while i was in germany a year they tought me the secret. Gootandtight i wouldnt worry to much its not like its an engine block or anything. Shit i work on AH64D and Torque is only really major on moving parts. I guess thats all up to you i have never had to buy a torque wrench but i would imagine they are expensive.

Never mind man i just read that article and the torque is like 530 inlbs thats a whole lot of torque. On an APU drive shaft which spins at about 80,000 RPM we use 125 inlbs on 5 bolts. So anything over like 300 inlbs is pretty major. So you might want to get a torque wrench lol sorry for the stupid post earlier, guess i should have read the article 1st.
