My cigarette lighter isnt working. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Also my brake lights don't seem to be working, the thin strip underneath spoiler light works but others don't. I replaced the bulbs but still won't work. The light on the my dash is on as well.

I had the same problem 3 years back with my 94 TT MKIV except for the cig lighter, If your fuses are fine, what had happened was the lamp sensor had failed. I think its from stepping on the brakes too much too quickly at a short amount of time... although I could be wrong. But here's the link off of MKIV.COM, it tells and shows you how to fix it.
