I've got a 3 1/2 " down pipe to a 3" Random Tech High flow cat
with Greddy sp exhaust on my 94 tt bpu'd ++ 6 speed Car recently tuned up County initiated emmisions testing Bought this cat beliviing it would pass emisions I have orig exhaust and someone good with a cutter and wielder Will OEM main cat replacing Random Tech cat pass emissions Nox numbers extremely high and HC numbers elevated Mechanic blames cat not burning enough Other issues with car? WTF Thanks |

You might try some RXP fuel additive. I heard some really good things about it bringing down emmisions enough to pass inspections...

Maybe get a tuner to tune a fine tune fuel computer(like feilds SAFC) to clean it up abit. how long did you let it warm up? hot cars burn cleaner. Technically. run a tank of 100 unleaded to clean out the injectors then go test with 91 with hot car. also look for other emmision thread I posted about emmisions in general I think. |
