Ah you don't need any upgrades to drift it just helps in some ways. And really if you want to know how to drift you just have to try. or go to japan and drive with the pro's.

But Plz when you try to drift if you try go some place NO ONE WILL GO Or Block off the roads so no one gets hurts. Oh and also if you don't want your car to get f ed up go some place with nothing to hit with your wheels or body. Oh and Pull in the clutch if you spin out because your don't want your car to die on you and really mess you up.

yes it is hella fun to drift. But there are some bad parts to it. Your car gets beated down faster than normal driving. Also it puts alot of ware on your tires and shocks and frame. So I wouldn't do it every day unless you like fixing your car over and over again.

yeah but i bet you that after all of that drifting and the spin outs they had to work on there cars. Like there tire alinement (doesn't know the right spelling) and if they used there hand break it does break your car down a little faster.

Ok, no, they didn't use their handbrake. If they're pros, they keep their hand as far away from it as possible.

Ok, Supra_Drifter hit it right on the money up there, you don't need any mods to drift, just makes it easier as you progress. I'm running stock right now, but i'm planning sparco seats, CFT hood, and HKS coilovers. Make sure to strengthen the springs for drifting. The first reaction is to make them loose to decrease stability. Trust me, it's damn easy to get a Supra over. Yeah, don't drift dangerously. Take the Hollywood resovoir course around 3 AM if you need to drift, i'll be waiting for you. ^_^

I go out to the contry to do it and practice the hardest part of drifting is being able to put your car side ways and control your speed without gaining traction or spinning out. ya it is hard on your car hell the last car i had and did this with the valvetrain got tore up pretty bad so the valve train in my supra i made sure that it would be all right and as long as you maintane your car it will be all right. I also have chasi mods and braces then the cooling system is all new with fluidine's electric fan and radiator bigger intercooler and enough gauges to tell me exactly what is going on

Eagle has an excellent point about the radiator and upgraded fans. Proper cooling is always important. Stick with 16" wheels because the tires are alot cheaper. Khumo 711's run $55 a piece for 225/50/16, 320A, and they hold up pretty well. As far as suspension, stock is fine as long as it isn't too run down. I was planning on saving up for full coilovers, but my suspension was in sorry shape, so I'm running HKS pilow ball mounts, with RS*R down springs, and KYBs. Pretty happy with it but the hard mounts are pretty loud. One thing that you should definitely focus on if you have an MKIII is the brakes, as you probably know, they suck. The calipers get heat soaked like it was their job.

P.S. what's everyone running for suspension settings(i.e., camber and toe)

like a monkey in a pinata

I am still running stock tems but with the chasi strighthing it works all right It is no where close to what it needs to be at but it works for now. the cheapest suspertion system that I have seen that will hold up and alow proper ajustments is $1700 ouch but it is a small price to pay to feed any ones addiction

e-braking is one of the major factors of drifting. the pros do it all the time. its controling how much e-brake you use in order to make it seem like your not using it. the reason for the e-brake in drifting is to lock the rears and correct the understeer in a drift. anyone one who says otherwise does not know the techniques of drifting. and one thing you might want to do is jus mod your suspension. engine work is not really needed. just think about the main drift cars such as the 86 or the 240sx. both around 100-120 hp.

I was positive that the top drifters don't even go near the E-brake Confused Drifting is all about controlling the throttle.

well theres a difference between show drifting and speed drifting. either one has different techniques..it is about throttle control and steering..but the e-brake is also part of the equation. if u ever watch drift vids or seen it in person..whenever u see the rear whells lock up..thats e-brake.

i think whoever said the e-brake thingy has been playing a bit too much need for speed
The handbrake (that's what we call it) lets you drift along but its kind of like a one-off drift. You don't really get as much momentum as you would from using proper techniques. A bit like inertia drifting.

I don't think you should try unless you have alot of experience.
