I have an 86.5 N/A that I'm converting to a full time race
car. My question is where can I find the rules regarding the different
classes and their requirements. I don't want to build a dragster.

I don't think I want to go forced induction due to the speeds
it will be running, and the compitition may be to intense.

I was thinking about a transplant using a 350 chev, but again
that would put us in the 5 liter class, and that would be just to fast.

As we all know the N/A's are a pain to get any real power.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Mods to date

Headers
Test tube
2.5 exhaust
Aluminum drive shaft
Electric fans
18" ADR wheels
Tires ???
Ibach springs
Koni shocks
Aluminum flywheel
Performance clutch
APC seats.

Thanks all.

Im pretty much in the same situation as you, running a 86.5 N/A. But I figure since there isnt really much out there that can help our cars, why not go with something where skill is the most important factor? In other words bulding it to be a SCCA car. Not much speed needed but driving skills and road handling are needed. For classes and such check your local tracks website or if you also want to check out SCCA go to www.scca.com.
