heres what I would do, if its a street tire, lower the tire pressure to where its low but not flexing, than pull up to the burnout box, heat the shit out of em and ride the burnout as far as you can until they dead hook, IMPORTANT TIP! than stage, heres a little trick that helps me HUGE! learn what your stall is, the highest rpm you can stall just before your tires start spinning, than grad both hands and rip the e-brake is high as you can! put all your muscle into it, I gauruntee you'll stall a good 300' rpms or higher and when your ready to launch, drop the brake and RIP! note: with a buck launch like this your probably going to spin like an animal, but a drag radial would help, also pull the traction control fuse!
