Yeah I've heard of a few people having done the conversions already, I myself was considering doing the same until I ran out of money. Not really that much different just pretty much an upgrade of some of the stuff in the engine either replacing your stock ones with stronger and/or larger stuff and I think there ECU were programmed different too. Mike T listed them in the FAQ section.

Ya i've already learnt the difference in HPI magazine a long time ago,
The US Supra turbine wheels are made of steel, whereas the japanese turbines are made of ceramic material. Because of this the US tubos r more robust and can take more boost. How ever stock boost of around 10-11 psi is the same in both regions. its interesting to note that the US turbos can flow considerably more, however, especially at higher boost lvls. was wondering how much the conversion costs? Thanks 4 the info dude. much appreciated!! This site rocks!! unlike those other dumbass supra forums. |

actually I'm pretty sure that because the internals a much stroner thats why they flow considerably higher than the j-spec but I'm pretty I read somewhere too that the J-Spec will spool up just that little bit faster because of the light turbines and smaller wastegates. I'm still trying to learn as much as I can too.
