Is anyone running this clutch? Does it clatter a lot, I am running a rps turbo kit with a t72 and need a clutch that will hold for street driving but at the same time will not have a extremly hard clutch pedal and minamal clatter. Please give me some advice, testimonials etc. I just don't know what to purchase but i need to act quick because the amchine shop needs a flywheel to balance my bottm end that i am building. Thanks fo rthe help! big grin

I had a TRD TD in my car for 12 miles. The tranny rattled so bad I pulled the clutch immediately. I loved the feel of the clutch, but just could in no manner tolerate the rattle. It was farrr worse than any lightweight flywheel RPS-type clutch I've heard or driven. It changed the nature/sound of the car up to about 3000 RPM even when under way. Definitely not for me.

Thanks Boost Junkie.....it was everything you say. It's pretty noisy, but for me not that bad, it's pretty easy for me to slip too. I love the feel of the clutch, it does grab kind of hard but once you get used to it it's very easy to drive and lightly slip. So far the rattle is not as bad as a dump to atmosphere wastegate, so I guess it's just a matter of what a person is willing to tolerate.

I think it's a first rate and very high quality clutch, but like Steve says, it does make quite a bit of noise.

My next clutch will probably be the Carbon/Carbon from a certain company...

My car has a trd twin in it. I LOVE IT. After about 1500 miles, the clutch is no longer on/off anymore. I can easily pull away from a stop sign without having to rev my car at all. The car holds 580 ft/lbs torque without any problems what so ever. The clutch is rebuildable. I like the clutch so much, I bought two of them!

Damn I hate that rattle too. Isn't the TRD TD the same as the RPS TD? I heard the RPS stage II doesn't rattle very bad. Anyone know how much HP it holds?

No the TRD clutch isn't the same as the TRD twin. The TRD TWIN is from TRD Japan not TRD USA which outsources to RPS.
