Has anyone ever actually imported their supra from the US? I'm wondering whether it actually is feasible. I know its a lot of hassle. The biggest thing I'm wondering about is any aftermarket parts installed on the car and whether they had trouble with that.
Thanks |

Ive read its actually harder to import a car into Canada than it is to import into the US. I believe Canada has some of the firmist laws on importing.
I only know this cause I was going to bring a car into the US from Japan through Canada. However, I realized it would be much easier to have it shipped to Baja California(Trade free Zone) and bring it in through San Ysirdio point. |

My brother-in-law imported four vehicles into Canada within a month..all purchased off of eBay (4 Ford Excursions). As long as your papers are in order, he told me it isn't difficult at all. Of course, the first time was harder - trying to figure everything out.
And there are a few vehicles (VERY FEW) that are not allowed, but the Supra (any year) ISN'T one of them. I plan to import one someday ($$$). |

Wow, if you go to yahoo autos, you will find some damn cheap supras. However, I've heard that importing them to Canada is harder than alot of vehicles because they have that all mighty VIN# that says it was made in Japan.
Importing Non-Japan cars is suppose to be very easy, but Japanese cars imported to Canada from the US is way way worse. There is almost 2x the duty fees and paper work, so I have heard. |
