Hello.

Wondering if anybody can offer a reputable lead on an alignment shop that can align 1994 Supra that's got eibach springs and KYB struts.

Personally, I have had my alignment done 5 times within the last 7 months at various Toyota dealerships and small shops. And none of them have been able to get my alignment done correctly, i.e., steering wheel straight, camber looking even on both sides for both rear and front, handling feeling correct, and no pulling to the right or the left.

I've heard it all from every mechanic who touched my car:

- "Ooooh, the Toyota Supra alignment job is not your run of the mill Toyota Corolla job. Did you know that there are more alignment points on the Supra that other cars?"

- "Nah, The Toyota Supra is just like any other car it is a standard alignment"

- "It does not feel aligned? Well it's to spec., look at the print out I gave you. It's dead on!"

- "For the alignment to be off like that withing a day or two, you must have hit a gigantic pot hole or a curb".

- "It's gonna cost you because your car is lowered (but we are still gonna align it to stock specs)."

- "Well we had to blow torch one of the bolts during the alignment because it was seized! Did you say you got an alignment just the other day at another shop?"

Sorry for bitch'n everyone. I would be thankful to anyone who can offer a solid alignment shop that knows how to do the MKIV.

Thanks in advance.

i have had good luck with goodyear tire center in hamilton on upper james. yes, they used a torch to free up the alignment lugs, and yes, they got my brothers 89 with H&R's to almost spec out. it is tougher the lower your car is, but except for the H&R's on mk3 supras, i have heard all aftermarket springs could be brought back into stock alignment.

i have had similiar problems with alignments in the past. some will not use heat on the suspension parts for fear of changing the molecular structure, and others just didn't know the supra has and needs 4-wheel alignment.

visit various shops, and ask if they can do a full 4-wheel alignment, ask how old their rack is, ask if they will use heat to free up the lugs? use those answers to determine who will get your business.

woodbridge alignment. They do all kinds of lowered cars. And do both compuetrized and manual alignments.

If you are doing the "Lance Specs" you will require the manual process. Just bring the specs to them and they will do it.

After a while, I learned that it might be my rear bushings and many have noted that for our car, especially with the higher horsepower, tend to go.

I have not gone to do it yet as it is gonna cost from what I hear. Toyota quoted me about $500-$1000 depending on which bushings I choose to replace.

Anyway.
